A Few Questions
I’m looking for info to help us prepare for your arrival, so I have a few questions that you may be able to answer:
- Have you a final number of attendees?
- Any vegetarians or food allergies?
- Approximate arrival time?
- Do you want to go to the Local Pub/Disco? If yes, would you like us to book the bus for you?
- Anything else you would like us to know?
If you are going to the local disco (The Blackthorn), and you wish to, please email a photo of the Bride plus the Bride’s first name spelled correctly.
Please let us know so we can inform the venue and organise the bus. The bus costs from €10–€12.50pp return. Please pay the driver with cash.

The bus usually collects you at 9:30pm and brings you back whenever you like. It is all local so everyone is friendly.

Sleeping Arrangements
The sleeping arrangements are as follows (we allocate based on your numbers):
- Plum Tree Yurt: King, King Sofa, Set of Bunks (Sleeps 6 in total).
- Apple Tree Yurt: King, King Sofa, Set of Bunks (Sleeps 6 in total).
- Blueberry Cottage: King, King Sofa, Set of Bunks, Single Bed (Sleeps 7 in total).
- Rosehip Cottage: King, King Sofa, Set of Bunks, Single Bed (Sleeps 7 in total).
- Blackberry Cottage: Double, 2 x Singles (Sleeps 4 in total).
Note: the bunk beds are full sized single beds.
Once you confirm the numbers I will let you know the accommodation that is available for your use.
- All towels, bedding etc. are provided.
- There are electric blankets on all beds.
- Heating in all accommodation.
- Electrical sockets are in all accommodation.
Ice
We have ice here for you, plus a couple of cooler boxes. All food is provided, although you can bring snacks if you wish. Snacks will be appreciated after the disco when you are all relaxing around the campfire.
Plastic / Glass
We supply plastic goblets for your use while you are here. If you can help it, please don’t bring glasses – if they get broken, it is difficult to find all the pieces. You may bring extra plastic glasses if you wish. Beer/Wine/Spirits bottles etc. are OK to bring.
Social Areas
The greenhouse has sofas, chairs and a banquet table. There is plenty of covered space to keep you out of the weather.
The bar area (BYO) has tables and seating, plus a big screen and projector if needed.
Bring your laptop to connect via HDMI to play your Mr and Mrs game etc.
There are Bluetooth speakers that you can connect your iPod to in the greenhouse and the bar area also.
Decorations
We have the place well decorated but you can bring personalised decorations and extra stuff if you wish.
Snacks
Bring snacks if you wish. We have your meals covered so you won’t go hungry.
Dining
Food generally consists of:
Dinner(s) – Homemade beef burgers, Chicken Wings, Honeyed Gammon and Sausages on the grill. Potato salad, Coleslaw, Beetroot and Goats cheese Salad, Green salad and Baby potatoes. (Vegetarian on request.)
Breakfast(s) – Rashers, Sausages, Mushrooms, Beans, Eggs, Brown bread, Toast, Juice, Tea and Coffee. All with minor variations at times. (Vegetarian on request.)
Light Lunch (2 Night Hen Parties only) – Quiche, Sandwiches, Cake, Tea, Coffee etc.
Numbers Attending
We understand that it is difficult to pin the number down exactly as it is often the case that one or two may not be sure that they can attend.
In these instances the individuals can pay on the day with cash, as long as the minimum of 16 has been paid in full no later than 4 weeks prior to the event. Please let us know your final number 1 week before the event.
The balance can be paid on arrival with cash.
Activities
Archery: the archery is always available.
Badminton: there is badminton equipment available and ready to use on the lawn.
Swingball: we have swingball here you can play 24 hours a day.

Bus to the Local Disco
If you intend going to the pub/disco please confirm 4 weeks prior to the event date so we can inform the venue and organise the bus.
The bus to The Blackthorn is currently from €10–€12.50pp return. The bus price is beyond our control and may change. Please pay the driver in cash.
The bus will bring you back to site whenever you wish.
You can book directly with the driver, or ask us and we will book it for you.

Balance
The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the event. There are no refunds after this point. If you don’t have exact numbers by then, just pay for 16 and the rest can pay in cash on arrival – final numbers 1 week before.
Total less non-refundable deposit paid (€500 per night booked) = Balance due.
Minimum 16 paid guests, and the Bride goes free as number 17.
You can use the date of your Hen Party as a reference, or your booking number.
We’ll send our bank details by email. Please let me know when you have made the transfer. Thanks in advance for your payment.
Location and Access
There will be balloons tied to a gate on the canal towpath by the Killeen Bridge. Balloons will also be on our gate down the towpath. Our gate is on the left-hand side.
If you are travelling to us in a bus please be aware that a 34-seater bus is the largest bus that can get to us.
COACHES CANNOT ACCESS OUR SITE.
Limousines have been here, but there is a particular route they must come, as there is a hump-backed bridge over the Grand Canal.
